Paperolles Reliquary, Napoleon III Frame, Curved Glass, Relics, Religious Item 19th Century

Presented in a beautiful oval frame, in blackened pear wood, with its curved glass and its gilt brass circle, here is a pretty reliquary. It has decorations in paperolles, small rolled up and gilded paper elements, representing garlands of stylized leaves and flowers. Each of the seven relics is integrated into a scroll medallion, with the name of the Saint it represents. The center is decorated with a pious image in chromo lithography representing Christ and Mary. Small brass ring on the back for wall hanging.
Good general condition, only a piece of paper in the upper part is moving, to be reattached, or left as is. Few wear to the frame.
French working, dating from the second part of the 19th century, Circa 1850-1880
