Blown Glass Globe, Painted Fixed Under Glass Mounted As A 19th Century Lamp
A large blown glass ball placed on a felt base mounted as a lamp! nothing surprising, but it is thanks to the interior decor, truly original and fascinating, that this object becomes a unique and charming work of art. The technique of fixed under glass is interesting since it is necessary to paint going from the foreground in successive layers towards the background, in this case inside the globe. Here decals have been added to the painted background. It is a work from the end of the 19th century, in good condition. The lampshade is a little faded.
