Portrait Of A Shy Young Girl, Pastel Louis XVI Period
Portrait of a girl in pastel from the Louis XVI period, 18th century, work done on skin. She is discreet, reserved, maybe a little shy! her posture and her expression, the light muslin veil and the pearl on her hairstyle make all the charm and originality of this portrait. We also see in the realization of the folds and the drapes of the bodice, the coat, the veil the high quality of this work, however unsigned. It is presented in a period frame in natural wood, carved with a pearl which may not be original.
