“sailboats In Bénodet” Marie Belmon

Marie Sophie BELMON was born in Quimper at the beginning of the 20th century. She died in 1976. Painter of seascapes, notably in Bénodet in southern Finistère. In this painting, she plays with the shadows of the trees and the sails which are reflected in the water to offer us a work with a geometric composition. The tones are powerful.
