Shield of the Plains Indians
Dance shield, cut from buffalo skin, and covered with symbolic motifs. On the left side are the lines of a river and a very small medicine ring is attached; on the other side are drawn 3 stars to signify night. There is also a medicine ring, two raptor feathers and the skin of an ermine.
