Daum. Sculptural “vine Leaf” Cup In Crystal Paste, In Its Box.

DAUM FRANCE. Very beautiful decorative bowl - which can be seen as a ring sizer, a display item, a storage compartment... - with a naturalistic theme, small in size, made of polychrome crystal paste molded with lost wax, treated in green tones and light pink in gradient, and depicting a vine leaf topped by a bunch of grapes. A very beautiful and very qualitative, rare contemporary work, which is undoubtedly inspired by the Art Nouveau period; period at the beginning of the 20th century, during which the Daum Manufacture excelled, notably by producing some of its most beautiful models. The piece that we present here, although recent, refers through its design, through its patterns and its technique, to this period, from which it is inspired and which it revisits, which it reinvents (decorations of fruits and plants). Manufacture of the DAUM brothers in Nancy; last quarter of the 20th century, around 1980-90. Signature inscribed on the reverse of the cup, under the base, in cursive letters engraved with a vibrograph, "Daum Cristal" (refer to photo n°4). The part we are offering here is like new. It is also presented in a quadrangular cardboard box, bearing the image of the Daum brand, which appears to be the original box. We also include a long Daum ribbon in turquoise-green fabric, also decorated with the effigy of the Daum brand ("Daum" logo sewn in cameo over the entire length of the ribbon), which was initially to be sold with the subject in crystal paste, and which is also in perfect condition. — DIMENSIONS of the glass paste — • maximum height, approximately 3.00 CM; • length, 08.50 CM; • width, 07.50 CM. — DIMENSIONS of the box — • height, 05.25 CM; • length, 09.70 CM; • width, 09.10 CM. — CONDITION REPORT — the subject, in crystal paste, is in perfect condition; in absolutely perfect condition: it is like new. It's probably never been used — it's intact, the colors are bright and shiny. The Daum ribbon, made of fabric, also appears in very good condition. Light and usual small marks of use with regard to the original cardboard: small stains, warped edges, micro-shocks to the cardboard... Nothing serious or ugly. The cardboard remains in very good general condition, and is perfectly presentable: it is also beautiful. There are just some very light marks of use, usual and without impact.
