DAUM FRANCE, “Mimosa” model.

CUP with a natural, floral theme, supported by a high and very beautiful sculptural base with a circular base, in crystal paste molded with lost wax, tinted light yellow, slightly bubbled, and with relief decoration of flowers and mimosa leaves. At the top, attached then welded to the tool, an ovalized cup in fine plain translucent crystal, mouth-blown. A very beautiful and luxurious production, from the "Nature" collection created by Daum at the end of the 20th century. This collection, although recent, devotes and represents with finesse, with poetry, the fauna and flora; interesting in many ways (beautiful objects of art, very qualitative), it combines several glasswork techniques. The finesse of translucent crystal, colorless and shiny, rubs shoulders and contrasts here with the matte, satiny appearance, full of color and reliefs of crystal paste, a material close to glass paste. Very interesting contrast and very interesting techniques therefore, in addition to the quality and decorative potential, both high. This bowl can be used as a decorative object, a pocket tray, a ring sizer, a potpourris flower stand... DAUM manufactory, end of the 20th century, 1980s-90s. Signature present on the front of the base, in cursive letters incised with a stylus, "Daum France".

CONDITION REPORT: The cup is in mint condition. It is like new, and appears to have been used very little. There is absolutely no wear: the crystal is beautiful, shiny and unaltered, without any haze or alteration; and the colors of the crystal paste are also pure and vivid. Two tiny marks of use on the upper border of the crystal cup part (each illustrated in a photo: photos n°6 and 7), which are very small, without any impact because they are invisible, too small. They are only noticed very, very closely. It's not wear and tear, it's so small and insignificant. It cannot be seen, it cannot be noticed. The cup therefore remains in very good condition; It is almost like new.
