Object description :

"Small Chest Of Drawers In Rosewood And Marquetry, Louis XV / Louis XVI Transition Period – 18th Century"
Small chest of drawers opening with three drawers of identical dimensions and fronts, namely stained Rosewood veneer arranged in butterfly wings, and double threads in Lemonwood and Amaranth. The exterior mitred frame is made of Mahogany. These drawers are separated by dust covers, and each of them is equipped with a functional iron lock, with original Bronze entrance and fitted rear key. Two round handles with beaded rings allow them to be pulled. The front uprights, rounded, also have inlays but simulating grooves. The composition of the sides follows that chosen for the drawers. This piece of furniture is topped with gray marble with pretty golden veining, thick and authentic. It rests on two refined front legs and two more soberly softened rear legs. A chest of drawers with reasonable dimensions, quality, and marquetry perfectly preserved beyond their 250 years of history. ******** Period: 18th century Perfect condition after restoration in our workshop.
