Important Lidded Jar, China - Early 20th Century
Large Chinese porcelain pot richly decorated with polychrome decorations. This very paunchy Asian object with soft shapes is painted with multicolored flowers and birds. Orange and black birds are perched on blue branches. Large orange, blue and pink flowers are surrounded by leaves with various patterns. A beautiful bird with gold-edged feathers and a long blue tail, stands on a bamboo. Colorful friezes delineate the neck of this large ginger jar. A stamp is affixed below.
