Neo-renaissance Vessel, Austria, 19th Century

This is a great crew! This table vessel in perfect condition, made of wood, glass, bronze and silver-plated metal, is in the simplest form. In the figurehead, a cupid armed with his bow announces the arrival of the divine Aphrodite seated at the stern. The ship moves forward at high speed, seeing the waves hitting the hull. This piece, still very popular in the 19th century for the decor and entertainment of the table, was part of an art de vivre inherited from the European Renaissance.
