18th Century Votive Madonna From Altar, South Italy
Splendid votive statue depicting the Madonna, wearing elegant silk dresses and a silver crown, and placed on a wooden base painted in imitation of marble. The Madonna has rich hair and is dressed in a white dress tightened at the waist and a light blue cloak. She also wears a rosary necklace around her neck. It is a precious antique object with compact dimensions, originally placed on the altar of a church. Made in southern Italy during the second half of the 18th century.
