Second Half Of The 18th Century Transition Style Painted Sideboard
Refined sideboard crafted from fir wood, finely carved
and painted in lean tempera in shades of white and sage green. The piece
features a clean-lined silhouette distinguished by slightly curved legs. It is
fitted with two doors, operated by locks and keys made of lost-wax cast bronze,
opening onto two spacious internal shelves designed for practical storage.
Further embellishment comes from the painted decorative motifs, featuring
geometric panels and phytomorphic interlacing patterns, the latter adorning the
sides and the top surface. This is a sideboard of great taste and
sophistication, capable of adding a touch of class and antique elegance to any
interior. Tuscan manufacture, dating to the transition period between Louis XV
and Louis XVI styles (second half of the 18th century).
