"Louis XV Grand Library"
Burgundy, 18th century, important two-part Regency style buffet in beautiful blond walnut and light cherry wood. It opens with four arched doors with scalloped decoration and two drawers, and comes to us in good original condition, with the only restoration being a cornice with a gendarme's hat shape, approximately fifty years old. The upper section has its original glazed top. It was originally fitted with shelves for storing hunting rifles; we have added more for storing books. A truly beautiful, high-quality piece of fruitwood furniture in very good condition.
