Charming little all-sided piece of furniture, made up of three identical drawers, each front of which has an Amboyna burl veneer, the perimeter of which is covered with a strip of miter-cut solid mahogany. Each drawer is pulled by small brass rings. Each side of the furniture has an attached half column in solid mahogany made up of 3 fixed grooves. In the lower part, we have a molding and a protruding baguette. The whole rests on four turned sheath legs, ending in a brass shoe. The sides of this small table are made up of two amboyna burl panels separated by a mahogany crosspiece. At the back, a single panel of amboyna burl. The top of this piece of furniture has a miter-cut mahogany frame, a large ebony fillet, with amboyna burl in the middle. Around it, a protruding wooden gallery follows the shape of the piece of furniture. This small chiffonier chest of drawers will make an excellent piece of extra furniture wherever you deem its presence necessary. ******** Period: Late 18th century Excellent condition after Restoration Finish: satin varnish.
