The two paintings, in oil on canvas, retrace themes treated by Andrea Locatelli ((Rome 1695 – Rome 1741) offering us two classic landscape views of the countryside with farmhouses and characters nestled near rivers and lakes, and where the magnificent trees with long trunks and large foliage stand out clearly in the blue sky, while in the background rolling hills and mountain peaks seem set in a blue sky embroidered with white clouds.
