"A Crystal And Silver Salt Bottle, Goldsmith Louis Bruneau"
Piriform perfume bottle surrounded by mesh surrounded by crowns of flowers in relief. The hinged lid, also chiselled with scrolls and roses, is topped with a cherub feeding a pigeon. Two putti resting on a base are applied to the sides of the bottle and seem to lift a weight. Identical decoration for the base.Master goldsmith: LB in a diamond with a feather beak and a dot on it for Louis Bruneau. Indicted in 1823, struck out in 1843. He was one of the rare French people to send works of art to the London exhibition in 1851 (the Duke of Luynes mentions him in his writings).
