Reliquary To The Glory Of Saint Vincent - 18th Century
In silvered brass, embossed and hammered, our reliquary is the result of fine work probably Austrian, from the very beginning of the 18th century. It honors a beautiful ex-ossibus relic consisting of a bagged rib, of Saint Vincent Martyr. Our ossuary is crowned with a crown surrounded by two palms, which palm is the traditional attribute of Christian martyrs. The relic is presented in an alcove on a red velvet background surrounded by a montage of silver threads, pearls and beads. On the back, two red wax seals protect the reliquaries from any profane intrusion.
