Bust of a young girl in draped terracotta with curly hair held by a ribbon, pedestal in white Carrara marble. Marked on the back *E GOIS 1785 *Étienne Pierre Adrien Gois born January 1, 1731 in Paris where he died February 3, 1823 is a French sculptor trained in the fine arts of Paris and student of Étienne Jeaurat then of Michel Ange Soldtz. He won the first prize for sculpture in Rome in 1757. The Louvre Museum preserves two works by Gois "Pain 1764" and "Justice 1783"
