Small circular ivory box from the end of the 18th century with a miniature representing a quality lady dressed in antique style and carrying a ribboned staff. She is seated in front of a sheep at the foot of the altar of love in the background a landscape. Octagonal frame in gold or vermeil decorated with a beaded frieze. Tortoiseshell interior. Tiny crack of 2 mm on the cover. Work from the end of the 18th century.
