Bronze perfume burner with dark brown patina Japan Meiji period late 19th century very early 20th century interesting model with octagonal base resting on 4 high feet inscription in the center of the base "Takao" rich ornamentation on an archaic background of eight animals in medallions ( dragon killin horse turtle etc) on the lid decoration of carp and superb grip in leaping shishi dog superb cast iron quality of great finesse in the many details in good condition however an interior reinforcement on a handle small slot at the base of a foot small scratches and wear of the patina see the numerous photos very beautiful quality object in a rare form
