French Harpist Chair Mid 19th

This harpist chair is made of solid rosewood. The seat is of very good quality and is covered with tan leather.

The height of the seat is adjusted using a metal screw in the leg of the chair.

The seat height at the lowest is 18,50 in and at the highest of 22,83 in.

The backrest is curved. The foot is turned to "godron". This helps to give the foot an egg-shaped ornament with on the surface protrusions. This kind of grooves arranged in relief form a symmetrical frieze on the perimeter of the foot. The corolla obtained is very charming and refined decorative.

This very good quality piece of furniture is rare. It is perfectly adapted to the artist’s body movements. Sit down, concentrate and let yourself be carried away by the musical notes.
