Louis XVI Console With Curved Sides, Bordeaux, End Of The 18th Century
Rare small console with curved sides and mirror base in mahogany and mahogany veneer, it opens to a belt drawer and rests on four tapered and fluted legs, the spacer shelf inlaid with a compass rose on a background of mahogany in frames of alternating boxwood and stained wood. It is topped with slightly veined white marble. Original mercury ice background. Bordeaux work from the end of the 18th century. Very good condition, restoration carried out by an experienced cabinetmaker, varnished with a pad.
