Léonard-tsuguharu Foujita (1886-1968) - The Dream - Lithograph - Large Format

Superb lithograph designed in 1947 by Léonard-Tsuguharu Foujita (1886-1968) entitled "The dream".

This print represents a dreamlike scene, in which a naked and sleeping young woman is lying on a four-poster bed.
On the latter, the heterogeneous pattern of the canopy suggests that these are projections of the young woman's dreams.
Adding to the beauty and strangeness of the scene, an assembly of animals (a cat, two pigeons and three canines) watches this deep sleep at the edge of the bed.

This lithograph in very good condition is signed by the artist in pencil lower right, and justified “EA” (Epreuve d'artiste) lower left.

The work is sold in an elegant black wooden frame, also in very good condition.
