Long before being the name of a legendary champagne, Dom Pérignon was that of a monk with a visionary and daring spirit. Born in 1639 in Sainte-Menehould, in a wealthy family, Pierre Pérignon, whose father was in charge of the Provost’s Office, spent his childhood there.”
“Italian foundry based in Paris then Malakoff, practicing lost wax casting, created by Mario Bisceglia (of Turin, 1879-1961) with his brothers Dominique and César. His nephew André also worked there between 1951 and 1958. Bisceglia brothers from 1907 to 1912; Bisceglia from 1912 to 1962 (cf. E. Lebon, 2003, p. 116-118)”
