Paul Grégoire (1755-1842) was born in Aix en Provence and is known for his drawings illustrating daily life at the end of the 18th and beginning of the 19th century. The drawing is signed and dated 1784 twice, middle left and lower left. It is framed in a 19th century black and gold frame. The sheet, which has small tears and restorations, measures 38x22.5 cm.
