Large circular box with compartments. Blackened wooden object with an engraved mother-of-pearl marquetry decoration. Pattern of characters, trees, birds. The parts are curved with a silver metal joint. Asian work, 19th century China (perhaps older). The top has a slot in its length (restoration carried out). diameter: 29 cm. height: 12 cm.
