"Large Polychrome Terracotta Sculpture Of Saint Joseph And The Infant Jesus"
Beautiful, large polychrome terracotta sculpture (late 19th - early 20th century) depicting Saint Joseph carrying the infant Jesus in his arms, the latter holding the cruciferous orb in his left hand and making the blessing gesture with his right.The figures' features are fine and soft. The intricate draping of the vestments lends the sculpture great depth.
Only the cross is missing from the top of the orb. All the fingers are intact, as are the rest of the sculpture's elements, which show no cracks whatsoever. A few superficial paint chips are visible in the photos.
