19th Century Pair Of Louis XVI Style French Mahogany And Caned Side Chairs
A handsome pair of 19th century Louis XVI-style mahogany side chairs, with hand-woven caned square seats and tall, straight seat backs. Accents of patinated bronze provide interest, with a ribbon garland and laurel wreath at the top crest, and floral badges at the top of each front leg. An interestingly shaped stretcher joins the four legs, the front two of which are tapered and reeded, and end in brass sabots, with the rear two being sabre-shaped.
