Oil on canvas by the artist Jean JANSEM (1920-2013) French painter of Armenian origin, born in Seuleuze (Asia Minor) Turkey. Painter, sculptor and engraver. This painting is part of the "Carnivals" series between 1988 and 1992 a work was devoted to this period. The painter was immersed in various European carnivals, Lenten festivals, the end of winter, entertainment in bright, joyful and grotesque colors. Also called masquerades.
