Louis XVI / Directory Period Chiffonnière Table
Louis XVI / Directory period chiffonier table. Late 18th century period. It is made of solid cherry, mahogany veneer and burl mahogany as well as ebony bindings. It opens with three drawers decorated with brass quarter-rounds. The sides and back of the furniture are also decorated with quarter rounds. It rests on four tapered legs ending in shoes and casters. The legs are joined by a spacer shelf. The top is in Turquin blue marble surrounded by a bronze gallery. The three locks are original and functional, equipped with two keys.
