Napoleon III Period Desk
Napoleon III period desk in mahogany veneer and burl mahogany. Mid-19th century. The front and back sides are similar. On the front it opens with two drawers fitted with their original locks. These are functional, with a key. The reverse side has two simulated drawers. This desk has a rich decoration of gilded bronzes such as handles, keyholes, scraps, nets, aprons, rosettes, etc. The top is garnished with a fragment of used 18th century Aubusson tapestry.
