Regency / Louis XV Period Armchair With Cane Base
Regency / Louis XV period armchair with cane back. Early 18th century. Made of painted beech, it rests on four arched legs. The crosspieces are slightly curved on the front and sides. The front legs and crosspieces are carved with clasps, rocaille motifs and foliate scrolls. The front crosspiece has a split pomegranate in its center. The backrest is carved with shell and clasps in the center, on the shoulder and at its base. The structure is in very good condition (no play). The canework is also in very good condition.
