Representing Notre-Dame des Victoires located in the Basilica at Place des Petits-Pères in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris.
The statue of Notre-Dame des Victoires, installed in 1809, is made of hardened plaster, probably the work of an Italian sculptor. It replaces the statue of Our Lady of Savona, which disappeared in 1796. On March 25, 1843, the body of Saint Aurelie in her shrine was installed at the foot of the altar of Our Lady, during the feast of the Annunciation. On July 9, 1853 the statue was crowned at the request of Pope Pius IX who wanted to give thanks for the deliverance of Rome by French soldiers in 1849.
