Oil on panel signed lower right, located on the back » Porte Poterne de Vannes « Dimensions of the panel 27x22cm, 37x32cm with the frame. Painter and engraver, student of Yan D'Argent, he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1920 and won a medal there. Its production is exclusively devoted to Brittany: views of ports and small towns, scenes from the daily life of peasants and sinners, pardons, processions. The painting we present is charming with a very warm chromatic range, typical of its author. Marzin will write and illustrate tourist brochures dedicated to Finistère and Morbihan. A book was dedicated to his work by Annick and Jean Pierre Marrec;
