Huge, giant and impressive 'LEBRILLO' (basin) ceramic cup, early 19th cty, cwith zoomorphic decoration fromTriana district of Seville, Spain (please check last photo of this announcement for other examples, models similar).
The main decoration here shows an animal appearing to eating leaves of the foliage serving as a frame for the outline of the dish.

Pigment colors are obtained from cobalt oxides, copper green, antimony yellow and manganese (purple to brown).

The summary folk art decoration is made from stencils. It is worth emphasizing the particular brilliance of the colors and the strong decorative interest of this type of dish.

The dish is exceptionally in perfect condition and without any restoration (most of these very large basin are usually stapled, glued and/or restored).

The frame serving as a hanging system was formerly and specially made in wrought iron with a very thick strip.
