Empire Console With Mirror Bottom In Mahogany, Early 19th Century
Empire period console in mahogany and mahogany veneer with mirror back. Very simple piece of furniture with solid columns in the front uprights and flat columns in the rear part. A mirror between the spacer and the strip revealing a lockable drawer. The top is wood painted black. Delicate bronzes are applied to the sides and the keyhole. Elegant and functional piece of furniture which can easily find its place in an entrance, a corridor or a living room. Early 19th century period.
