Superb and large lost wax bronze representing a bust of a laughing child. Stamp of the founder BL Paris Bronze on a pyramidal base in green marble - circa 1930 Superb work of high quality. Signed Victor DEMANET. Victor Joseph Ghislain Demanet, born in Givet on February 3, 1895 and died in Ixelles on February 7, 1964, was a Belgian sculptor and medalist. Pupil of Désiré Hurbin, member of the Salon of French Artists, Victor Demanet obtained an honorable mention there in 1925 and exhibited there in 1929 the plaster His Majesty King Leopold II, statue erected in Namur, in Arlon, statue of Albert I.
