Very beautiful bust finely made in marble by the Avignon painter and sculptor Jean-Pierre Gras which represents the portrait of a young girl: Mademoiselle Jeanne Lucie Bonhomme (1904-1983).
The artist meticulously realized the details of the garment and the necklace, as well as the hair embellished with its tied ribbon, without forgetting the face of the young girl which is executed in the exact proportions.

Son of the poet Félix Gras, Jean-Pierre Gras trained in sculpture in Injalbert's studio. He exhibited at the National Society of Fine Arts from 1903 to 1914. He was a member of the Vaucluse Society of Friends of the Arts and the Group of Thirteen. He participated extensively in their exhibitions between 1904 and 1914.
He notably produced the monuments to Agricol Perdiguier (1903), Félix Gras (1905) and Joseph Roumanille (1914) in Saint Rémy de Provence, without forgetting the statues of Corneille and Molière in front of the Avignon theater.
Around the 1940s, he was appointed professor of fine arts for the City of Avignon.
