Beautiful watercolor, finely realized, animated by fishermen on their boat in the port of Civita Vecchia.
A native of Vannes, unrelated to the Roux family of Marseilles, he made a great career in the navy by finishing at the rank of Admiral. He participated in the Salon from 1869 to 1870 with watercolors made during his travels.
Size : 32,2 x 38,3 cm without frame and 41 x 51 cm with its modern golden frame.
