Oblong Box In Gold And Enamel, 18th Century
Delicate hinged curdent box in ivory gold and enamel. The oval-shaped lid is centered on a medallion depicting two peacocks or egrets quenching their thirst near a fountain. Tiny diamonds mark the contours of the basin. The medallion is surrounded by a red enamel surround. Radiant guilloché covered with blue enamel decorates the background.
