Rare Anthropomorphic Snuff Box In The Shape Of A Foot In A Sandal

An anthropomorphic snuff box from the beginning of the 19th century which is really out of the ordinary.
we regularly come across snuffboxes in the shape of a shoe but this one goes off the beaten track with this foot in a very nicely treated sandal.
it is in carved walnut with a very beautiful patina, the sandal comes out with blackened walnut and the toe nails are inlaid with bone as well as the lid inlaid with bone in a diamond.
Note that it is in excellent condition and that its cover works perfectly with a small brass ring inlaid in the bone diamond.
notice the delicacy with which the foot is treated with its pretty toes and especially the delicacy of the ankle.
