Very good overall condition.
Characteristic of Count Marcolini's direction at the head of the famous Saxon manufactory, this piece illustrates the transition between refined neoclassicism and the delicacy of naturalist decorations. The choice of floral painting executed in sepia or grisaille camaïeu brings great elegant sobriety, enhanced by the sculptural realism of the hand-modeled rose bud serving as a grip.
This delicate Meissen porcelain sugar bowl from the Marcolini period testifies to the refinement of table arts at the end of the 18th century, uniting the subtlety of its monochrome decoration with the emblematic expertise of the Saxon manufactory.
