"Le Grand Chêne" pottery (1948-1955)
The "Grand Chêne" factory, created in the 19th century, was taken over in 1948 by the ceramists Odette Gourju and her husband Ljuba Naumovitch. This pottery owes its name to the large oak tree which stood in front of this workshop. The logo of an oak appears as a signature. Odette Gourju's son, Jacques Innocenti, worked in this workshop from 1950 to 1952. The workshop closed in 1955 following the accidental death of Odette Gourju and Ljuba Naumovitch.
