Object description :

"Pair Of Hollow Dishes Manufacture De Longwy Rolande Rizzi"
Two large hollow circular dishes in polychrome enamelled ceramic.
The decor in the center shows us a scene of teaching the child in the Japanese style. On the circumference runs a broad frieze
. The colors are bright and brilliant.
The decoration is by Rolande Rizzi (born in 1927 in Longwy), active in the factory between 1944 and 1949.
It is enhanced by Albert Kirchtetter (1910-1976) also active in the same period between 1929 and 1976. The round stamp on the coat of arms, and cross of Lorraine affixed to the back of the dish indicates the period: between the beginning of the 20th century and 1950, which makes it possible to date the dish easily between 1944 and 1949 Dish with a limited edition of 50 copies,
they respectively bear the number 22 for the one and 27 for the other.
On the back four small holes allow you to pass a wire for hanging.
