Trompe-l'œil decor all around which gives the illusion of folds by the opposition of light and dark and geometric patterns to give the effects of perspectives.
A two-tone frieze delimits the top and bottom of the box.
The removable cover has the same decoration all around. On the top, a village decor: tightly packed houses, with windows, doors, fireplaces, flags.
The interior is covered with green paper on the tower, red in the background. On the lid, the colors are reversed, green at the bottom, red around the edge.
Very charming box with a decor imbued with a naivety which gives it a pretty emotion. Beautiful representation of folk art.
