Sublime and important Coffee Pot in Sterling Silver in Louis XIV Regency style. The pot is mounted on a circular foot with a gadrooned border and  chiseled decoration of branches and leafy scrolls on a textured ground. Characteristic of the Regency Style, the base of the body is adorned with alternative applied motifs of lanceolate leaves and lambrequins on a textured ground. An exceptional and spectacular Mascaron embellishes the spout, and the lid is surmounted by an elegant finial forming a flower resting on a radiant terrace. The carved handle is in blackened wood, most probably ebony, and is surmounted by a silver foliated thumb rest. The pot is stamped with the  Minerva 1st standard mark (.950) and Hallmark of the Master Goldsmith Amélie CARDEILHAC with the Signature in full "CARDEILHAC Paris". This sublime and important Coffee Pot in very good general condition, and was inspected and cleaned by our Parisian Goldsmith, micro-scratches from use. A pure marvel to discover through the attached photos ...
