Two Louis XVI Period Miniatures, Portrait Of Woman And Man Of The Nobility

Very high quality for this pair of Louis XVI period miniatures, on ivory, unopened material, such as in the eighteenth century. 
I do not wish to separate them, these two charming nobility figures, certainly husband and wife, have remained together through the revolution, wars and events of history.
They have yet to be identified. 
The frame of the man in the officer’s uniform is slightly split at the top, I think because of the rigging system.
I think the strapping is gold.
