"Lady's Desk In Louis XV Marquetry"
Charming flat desk, called ''lady's desk'' opening with two belt drawers, from the 18th century.
It has a crimped veneer of kingwood and rosewood arranged in fern in frames of boxwood nets.
We will notice the controlled game of the crimping fittings which highlight the veins and the light of the woods.
It rests on a base with a refined arch decorated with drops and gilt and chiseled bronze hooves. The outer edges of the four legs are also highlighted with a rosewood veneer fillet.
Top covered with a brown morocco decorated with a gilt border with small irons.
