Beautiful and very comfortable Louis XVI period shepherdess in patinated beech, 18th century. Our armchair with a rounded backrest has an enveloping seat and incomparable comfort thanks to its down-filled cushion. This shepherdess rests on four tapered and fluted legs surmounted by connecting dice with floral motifs for the front legs. Beautiful molding work on all the woodwork. The structure is in good condition and very stable. repair of the seat by a professional upholsterer. This renovation is very recent. Fabric and upholstery are therefore in very good condition. Superb Genoa velvet cover fabric of very good quality, in cream and midnight blue tones. Note, an old reinforcement (small metal plate) has been embedded in the woodwork in the upper part of the back of the backrest. ( see photos).
