Magnificent mushroom-shaped lamp in hammered wrought iron from the art deco period. Very rare, opaline lava glassware signed Daum Nancy France. The opaline lava process is a glass art. It is a mixture of silica, lead, potash, to which bone or horn ashes are added, all brought to fusion, unlike ordinary opal which is a natural hard stone. The glassware has no cracks or chips.
